A/Prof Joseph Yang is the Lead Clinical Scientist and founder of the Neuroscience Advanced Clinical Imaging Service (NACIS), a translational neuroimaging program in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. He has expertise in paediatric neurosurgery and applications of advanced brain MRI and nerve fibre tract imaging (tractography) and developing related AI-based tractography techniques. Internationally recognised for his expertise in translating tractography into neurosurgical practice, his work has transformed surgical planning and execution in paediatric brain tumour and epilepsy surgery, with wide-reaching local and global impact.
