Dr. Anthony Liu joined the staff at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in 2024. Dr Liu obtained his Medical Degree with Honours from the University of Hong Kong, and completed his Paediatric and Paediatric Haematology/Oncology training in Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong. Subsequently, he pursued a Clinical and Research Fellowship in Paediatric Neuro-Oncology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, spearheading landmark studies on circulating tumour DNA analysis for medulloblastoma and molecular profiling in rare CNS embryonal tumours. Before his transition to Toronto, Dr Liu served as attending Paediatric Haematologist/Oncologist at Hong Kong Children’s Hospital, dedicating effort in parallel for capacity building in Paediatric Neuro-Oncology with providers from Asia. The current areas of his work include the application of liquid biopsy and novel therapeutics in the management of childhood brain tumors.
