Dr Lisa Kahalley

Dr. Lisa Kahalley is Professor and Associate Chief of Research for the Division of Psychology, Department of Pediatrics, at Baylor College of Medicine, and Director of Neurobehavioral Oncology at the Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center at Texas Children’s Hospital, USA.  Dr. Kahalley is a pediatric psychologist by training, and she leads an international, multi-disciplinary, NIH- and CPRIT-funded research program examining the impact of disease and treatment on neurocognitive change, functional outcomes, and symptom burden in pediatric neuro-oncology.  Her work has been at the forefront of characterizing neurocognitive risk and sparing associated with proton radiotherapy compared to other treatments for childhood brain tumors. Additionally, Dr. Kahalley currently serves as Co-Chair of the SIOP Paediatric Psycho-Oncology Network and is an active member of the Children’s Oncology Group Behavioral Science Committee and Young Investigators Committee.
