LMIC Travel Fellowships

It is our pleasure to announce the availability of travel fellowships for colleagues from low and middle income countries (LMIC) to attend the 21st International Symposium on Paediatric Neuro-Oncology (ISPNO 2026) hosted by the Children’s Cancer Institute, Australia and the Kids Cancer Centre at Sydney Children’s Hospital from June 28 - July 1, 2026 in Sydney, Australia.

We are pleased to announce that up to 20 travel fellowships are available for colleagues from low- and middle-income countries (LMIC).

Each fellowship includes:

  • Free registration for ISPNO 2026

  • Up to $1,500 AUD to support travel and accommodation costs

Eligibility and Requirements

  • Applicants must have submitted an abstract via the online submission portal.

  • Successful applicants are expected to present their abstract as either an oral or poster presentation within the ISPNO 2026 program.

  • All recipients are required to actively participate in the conference.

  • All recipients must hold a valid visa or ETA for entry into Australia (further details provided below).

Application Process
Applicants must submit the following documents:

  1. Letter of Motivation (maximum one page – see guidance below)

  2. Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Applications must be submitted using the official application form by Friday, 23 January 2026 (midnight AEDT).

Review and Notification

  • Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

  • Recipients will be notified no later than 27 February 2026.

Reimbursement

  • All recipients will receive a reimbursement form to submit travel expenses (with receipts such as boarding passes and hotel invoices).

  • Expense claims must be submitted by 31 July 2026, after the symposium.

  • Full details of the claims process will be provided in your acceptance letter.

ISPNO 2026 LMIC Travel Fellowships - Application Requirements

To be considered for a travel fellowship, please check you are from one of the following eligible countries listed below and submit the following via the form linked below.

  1. Confirmation of your submitted abstract by including the Submission ID number (available from your abstract submission profile, or in your initial abstract submission confirmation email)

  2. Letter of Motivation

    • Please let us know why you want to and/or why it’s important for you to attend ISPNO 2026.

    • Format: 1 page maximum. Calibri or Times New Roman, 12 point.

  3. Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Travel scholarship applications will apply to delegates from Low & Middle Income Countries (LMIC) as designated by the World Bank. Your eligibility for the travel scholarships will be based on your country of residence.

Visa Invitation Letters

Invitation letters can be downloaded from your registration dashboard. This letter assists with your Visa application.

You will be able to download an invitation letter once you have paid for your registration fee in full and have entered in your passport details.

How to download the invitation letter:

  • Log on to the registration dashboard as a returning delegate by entering your email and password.

  • Once logged in, scroll down to the 'Document' section and select the button 'Visa letter'.

  • Enter your passport details when prompted. Every field must be filled in for a Visa letter to be generated. Once all details have been filled in, click 'Save'. You will be taken back to the main screen and now a button 'Download Letter' will appear and by clicking this it will generate a PDF visa letter.

Please note that the creation of visa letters is controlled, and ASN Events cannot create a via letter without all items paid for. If your registration does not follow guidelines, you may be asked to provide proof of identity.
